Terms of Use

1. About Us

The Pedigree Database ("PDB") is a software that allows users to do the following:

  • input and upload information about their animals;
  • keep track of their animal's family tree;
  • communicate with other users on best practices for care-taking;
  • use the marketplace for selling, purchasing or studding.

Please note that our software has terms and rules to which the PDB's users should follow. The user is recommended to comprehend the terms and rules listed below.

2. The User's Content

The user's Content is any Content, such as text, videos, images, reviews, comments, information, blog posts and graphics that are created by the PDB's users. This document confirms that when posting information on the PDB's platform, we have received your consent to use your Content here.

By agreeing to these Terms of Use you are giving us permission to use your Content with respect to these Terms of Use. By using our site, you acknowledge and agree that you had the sufficient privilege to read and understand the Terms of Use and you agree to be bound by them.

We truly like your Content and have faith that it will not be defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, offensive or contain any illegal information.

3. Access & Account

You are free to sign up to the PDB's platform and develop your own Content here.

By using this site, you warrant that you agree to follow these Terms of Use. We expect that the PDB's users:

  • have the legal capacity and authority to cooperate with us;
  • accept sole responsibility for creating Content that does not infringe any IP rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy and any other regulation;
  • only supply true, accurate, current and complete information.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

Please consider that you own your Content, which you developed and uploaded to the PDB's platform. We do not represent any ownership or claim any intellectual property rights over the information that is provided to us.

The Content which you submitted to our platform belongs to you, and you decide what permission to give to others. However, you license us to provide Content that you submitted to our platform to other PDB's users. That special license allows us to copy, publish and analyze content you submitted to the PDB's platform.

Please note that between you and the PDB's platform, you remain solely responsible for the Content you submit to our platform.

5. Forum Posts and Chat Rooms

We are unbiased to your comments, blog posts, opinions or any other information. Please note that we value all your Content. At the same time, we expect that your Content will not infringe any IP-related and privacy clauses.

You can actively participate in the discussion with the other users via your posts on the forums, this content will be available for the general's attention or you can send the private message to specific users via chat rooms for his/her personal consideration.

6. Acceptable Usage Policy

When signing up to our platform, you provide us information about your desired username and the email address. We respect your privacy and thus do not disclose this information to anyone. Please consider our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy to get more details.

7. Our Liability

The PDB's platform is trying to build a community of animal lovers. Therefore, the PDB's users should not develop, upload or distribute any defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, offensive or other illegal information.

Please remember that we are in a position to remove the user's Content that contains hate speech, content that targets individuals for shame, or harassment. If you believe any content violates any person's rights, please contact us directly at admin@pedigree-database.com.

8. Data Protection

The PDB's users agree to the collection and processing of Content-related materials and data including receiving, entering into PDB's database, additions or other changes, destruction and other actions that the PDB's users may perform with their information and data to our platform.

Please note that the information and data about the users are stored in an anonymous way and cannot be identifiable.

PDB's users undertake, in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation, to ensure adequate protection of privacy and personal data from illegal processing and access to them, including taking necessary measures to prevent disclosure of personal data by Third Parties.

9. Changes to the Terms of Use

We can amend or change the conditions of these Terms of Use by updating the information on our site.

10. Terminating your membership on the PDB platform

Please note that if you would like to terminate your membership on the PDB's platform, you need to reach us via admin@pedigree-database.com.

In the case of PDB's users infringing the conditions of our platform, we may otherwise terminate your membership immediately, on notice to you, if you have breached these Terms of Use in any way.

11. Confidentiality

All information which is provided from the PDB's users will not be identified and will be kept in a confidential format.

13. Law and Jurisdiction

Ukrainian law shall govern these Terms of Use and all matters relating to the provided service.

Please note that all disputes and discrepancies arising between the parties shall be settled by mutual consultations and negotiations.

Should the parties fail to agree on any disputable issue by negotiations, any such issues should be resolved in court according to the applicable legislation of Ukraine.
